Pics as Promised
Here you go:

Climax Mine's Tailing Pond - that's not natural..
The Climax Mine was once the largest underground molybdenum mine in the world.
Flying into the Crested Butte Valley - funny how Mt. Crested Butte just pops out of nowhere.
The Peak of Mt. Crested Butte in the foreground with the town in the background.

Downtown Crested Butte. Looks like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood if you ask me.

I'm horribly afraid of flying. Have been for a long time now. If I was down in CB would you be able to show me that it's not so bad? The pic are great and it would be awesome to get the guts to get a license some day.
Silly question: do you fly hands free while shooting these sweet pictures?
hope you are well. looks amazing up there.
Sometimes yes - most times no as I usually have an instructor along on my flights so that my photography is paying for further flight ratings.
In this case my instructor was along to give me an endorsement for a new type and class of airplane. Single Engine Land - High Performance. Sweet.
nice!
here's a column to read when you aren't flying and what not.
